Chris O’Donnell known for playing Dick Grayson/Robin in Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, spoke recently about the upcoming season of NCIS: Los Angeles, which he stars in to FOX411 and during the interview he was asked on who was his choice for the best portrayal of Batman.

Playing the sidekick role to both Val Kilmer and George Clooney you would think one of those would be his choice, but surprisingly no, his favorite choice was Adam West, the man who played the role in the 1960’s campy take that aired on FOX and later would play the Grey Ghost in Batman: The Animated Series.

FOX411: Being you starred in the “Batman” franchise, who is your favorite actor to play the title character past or present?

O’Donnell: For me it will always be Adam West. I loved the show. I just watched a documentary about him and his career and facing the challenge of being Batman. I worked with two very talented actors: Val [Kilmer] and George. We had a lot of fun George and I, but the film was a disaster.

George Clooney and to a lesser extent Val Kilmer’s take was more toward the campy version that Adam West version was based on as well, which for me allows me to enjoy the films, just as I can get through the painful camp of the TV Show when I watch it as a kids film.
