Now in an interview with ComicBook.com, McQuarrie goes on to confirm he’s discussed ideas story ideas for Superman with Henry Cavill, who also stars in McQuarrie’s latest movie Mission: Impossible – Fallout.McQuarrie goes on the say that while on the set of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Cavill who’s a big fan of the character of Superman, spoke with him on his take of the character, in which he couldn’t help but give him his two cents.
“Henry Cavill knows what it would be like. We had a lot of time hanging out on set, and Henry’s a huge fan of Superman, I can’t help but talk story to people, so he told me his take on Superman and I thought it was really great, and I gave him my two cents. The tweet you’re referring to is somebody asked ‘Would you do it?’ and I said ‘Hey, they know where to find me.’ Nobody’s asked, but you know…”
Man of Steel 2 still doesn’t have an official director nor a release date, even though it was listed among the first DC Films slot of movies.
