Supergirl was officially renewed for a 2nd season, but with move from CBS to its sister network The CW, to lower cost on the series, thus allowing the series to continue. It wasn’t 100% sure how many cast members would return, assuming there is a pay cut involved in the cost cutting the series is going to go through.
We already know that David Harewood, who plays Jon Jonn’z/Martian Manhunter and Calista Flockhart, who plays Cat Grant were returning and now it is official that the most important part of the series is also returning.
Chyler Leigh, who plays Alex Danvers on the series has officially confirmed her return to the series for its second season, by showing her excitement on joining The CW network.
