The newest Suicide Squad trailer was met with huge applause from fans and one of the big reasons was the amount of footage featuring Batman, as it appears he may have a larger role than originally expected. In a recent interview with Fandango, director David Ayer spoke a bit more on Suicide Squad and Batman’s role.

HOW MUCH BATMAN WILL BE IN THE FILM

“Just the right amount,” says director David Ayer when we asked how much Batman we’ll get to see in the film.

WILL BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE BE ACKNOWLEDGED

As for whenSuicide Squad takes place — before or after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — and whether it will acknowledge the events of BvS, Ayer was reluctant to go into details, simply saying “the answer to all of the above is yes.”

WILL SMITH ON BATMAN

“The Bat does cross my path… and, ya know, it’s not completely pleasant,” Will Smith tells us, alluding to a rumble between the two. Smith plays the supervillain Deadshot in the movie, who’s historically a Batman baddie, as are most of the Squad.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me
