Harley Quinn Co-Creator and Tara Strong React to Margot Robbie

The recent reveal of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn for Suicide Squad has been controversial to say the least, from fans wanting the classic look or just flat-out not liking the idea of a live action Harley Quinn, but some may wonder what do those who had a hand in giving Harley Quinn life have to say about Robbie’s look as Harley Quinn.

Well while at the Machina Upfront to promote the upcoming release of Justice League: Gods And Monsters, as well as its we series Chronicles, Polygon sat down with Bruce Timm, who co-created Harley Quinn for Batman: The Animated Series with Paul Dini back in 1992 to ask what his impressions were and this is what he responded with:

I’m very open to it to see what they’re going to do. I’m actually really excited. I just today, just before the show started, saw the first image of Harley Quinn from the Suicide Squad movie, and I thought ‘Woah. She looks actually pretty cute!’ I was actually kind of worried I thought ‘Oh, she’s going to look really, really bizarre and skanky’ but nah, she’s not too bad.

Earlier today Tara Strong who’s voiced Harley Quinn in multiple different interpretations, with the most recent being in Arrow, gave her reaction as well on Twitter.

Now all we need are Arleen Sorkin, Hynden Walch, Mia Sara and Paul Dini’s opinions.
