The Smith family has always shown that they are huge DC Comics fans, back in the early 2000’s Will Smith was approached about playing Superman, but he refused on the basis of the hero’s legacy, which resulted in the film Hancock and now he is playing Deadshot in the Suicide Squad film. Jaden Smith is rumored to be cast as Static Shock and Jada Pinkett-Smith has recently played Fish Mooney on Gotham.
Now it appears Jada Pinkett-Smith is not done with the DC Universe as she spoke with MTV News UK about wanting to play Vixen in Suicide Squad 2 and is hopeful she can speak with the director David Ayer about it.
This wouldn’t be the first time an actor who was cast in another DC universe was cast again in the current one. Tom Hardy was originally cast in Suicide Squad after playing Bane in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises before he had to pull out to obligations on another film. Well if Vixen does in fact appear later on good luck to her on grabbing the role. Although, I would expect they would want to cast younger, you never know.
