It was rumored awhile back that The Batman director Matt Reeves was eyeing to replace Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight with actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
This rumor was started by the same stream of entertainment sites and reporters who continue to believe that Affleck won’t be returning as the title role for Reeves’s Batman movie due to the missteps of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, either critically or box office wise.
But now in a recent interview with CNA Lifestyle, Gyllenhaal was asked if he was going to be playing the next Batman, in which he responded with a laugh:
“Wow, that’s a very difficult question, the answer to that question is ‘no’”
