Joaquin Phoenix wins his first Oscar at the 92nd Academy Awards for Best Actor for Todd Phillips’ Joker. Along with Phoenix’s win, composer Hildur Guðnadóttir won the Academy Award for best original score, making her the first woman to win for a dramatic composition.
Joker was nominated for a total of 11 Oscars and managed to walk away with two, which is honorable enough.
