Joe Manganiello who was cast to play Deathstroke in the latest solo Batman film, was recently interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter on the status of his character in The Batman, as director Matt Reeves has confirmed in an interview he was rewriting the film completely and not using the script Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns.
Due to that news breaking, many believe that Manganiello role as Deathstroke will be cut out of the film. In the interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Manganiello doesn’t directly confirm or deny what will be happening with his character in The Batman.
I think a lot of people are wondering what the status of Deathstroke is in the next Batman movie now that Ben Affleck is off the project as director. Do you have any information about that?
I don’t. Well, I do but nothing that I can share. I know everything but I can’t say any of it.
Any idea when we’ll find out?
It’s not up to me. That’s a good question for Warner Bros. and D.C.
