John Wesley Shipp Thanks the Creators of Jay Garrick

John Wesley Shipp, who is now playing both Dr. Henry Allen and Jay Garrick/The Flash on The Flashwent to his Facebook and Twitter to send some love and admiration to the creators of Jay Garrick.

Writer Gardner Fox and Artist Harry Lampert created Jay Garrick/The Flash in The Flash Comics #1 in 1940, where he would not only be the first version of The Flash in what would be known as The Golden Age and later Earth 2, but one of the original members of the Justice Society of America, which are now being featured in Season 2 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, making it a possibility that he could show up on that series.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me
