John Wesley Shipp, who is now playing both Dr. Henry Allen and Jay Garrick/The Flash on The Flash, went to his Facebook and Twitter to send some love and admiration to the creators of Jay Garrick.
Writer Gardner Fox and Artist Harry Lampert created Jay Garrick/The Flash in The Flash Comics #1 in 1940, where he would not only be the first version of The Flash in what would be known as The Golden Age and later Earth 2, but one of the original members of the Justice Society of America, which are now being featured in Season 2 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, making it a possibility that he could show up on that series.
