Todd Phillips’ Joker is set to be rerelease into more than 750 theaters across North America beginning Friday, January 17th. Joker rerelease comes as no surprise as the film has grained numerous award nominations across all categories, more so receiving 11 Academy Award nominations, such as for Best Actor and Best Picture.
President of Domestic Distribution at Warner Bros. Jeff Goldstein had the following to say in regards to the movie being released in theaters once more:
“With the continued interest in ‘Joker’ as a result of its recognition during this exciting awards season, we wanted to give audiences the chance to see the film on the big screen, whether for the first time or again.”
Joker has already made over $1 billion at the worldwide box office in its first run in theaters, making it the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. At the moment the movie is available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital streaming, but there’s nothing like seeing it on the silver screen and helping add to the movie’s already huge box office success!
