Josh Segarra Cast as Vigilante on Arrow

Deadline is reporting exclusively that Josh Segarra has been cast as Adrian Chase aka Vigilante for  fifth season of Arrow,  as a series regular, meaning he will be a new addition to the cast of season five.

The description given for the character goes as follows 

Star City’s new district attorney and an ally of Mayor Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who aims to clean up the streets through the legal system.

In the comics Adrian Chase/Vigilante first appeared in New Teen Titans Annual #2 in 1983 as a New York City District Attorney whose family was killed by mobsters. This would prompt him to go under the Vigilante guise and disperse his own brand of justice.
