The new Entertainment Weekly issue has many goodies coming out of the woodwork. I do hope all these surprises aren’t spoiling what Warner Bros. and DC have planned for San Diego Comic Con, but knowing them, this is a taste of what’s to come.
When Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was rewritten by Chris Terrio and started shooting it was reported that the reason the year-long delay was due to them shooting Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League back-to-back as Chris Terrio, the new writer had also signed on to write that film, although never confirmed at the time.
Well apparently its all kind of true, while Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is not shooting back-to-back with Justice League, it is expected that Justice League: Part 1 will shoot back-to-back with Justice League: Part 2 and all three have been written by Chris Terrio, while Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was rewritten by Chris Terrio but still based on David Goyer’s story.
The Justice League films are more than likely all Chris Terrio, as I believe David Goyer only went as far as story ideas but not writing it yet, let’s keep in mind if they do still use some of David Goyer’s ideas he can still receive a Story credit.
Zack Snyder had something to say as he and Chris Terrio worked on the two-part epic, which probably looks the way Mario Puzo’s Superman story was in 1975-1978.
Snyder and Chris Terrio the Argo screenwriter who was brought on to Batman v Superman for a rewrite and who has since finished the Justice League script –locked themselves in a room with an enormous supply of Diet Coke and plotted out their epic sag visually, like a giant cave painting. “Chris would talk and I would draw it and it was basically this weird mural of the movies with no words,” said Snyder. Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns is noted as one of the influences on their plot.
