Kevin Smith Returning to Direct an Episode of Supergirl

Kevin Smith that he will be returning to direct another episode of Supergirl in late January. The episode is now untitled but is the 17th episode of Season 2.

According to Smith, the Producers loved what he was doing and the energy he gives and looked into his schedule to make it happen. This would be the second time a crew for these DC Shows on The CW would ask him back, with The Flash describing him as a director who brings new energy to the set.

Kevin Smith also gave an interview on why he is returning and what makes him love directing these shows despite the fact he usually only enjoys working on his own material.

“I fell in love with everybody up there, so it was easy to say ‘yeah,'” Smith said. “It takes something special to make you put aside your own shit when you’re creative. When you have the ability to make the stories you want to make, it’s fun to watch other people’s stories, it’s just way more fun to make your own. So whenever you put your shit aside, it has to be for something worthwhile. Working on Supergirl is like a month of your life, but I’d give it up in a heartbeat because the last experience I had was so rewarding and I was so happy with what we did. I like all the people up there, and I believe in the show in a big, bad way. It’s incredibly warm. It’s just well-made entertainment, and it’s got something to it. It’s a little nourishing, it’s not just fast food. There’s always some heart to it.”

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me
