Kiersey Clemons Cast as Iris West in The Flash Movie

The Flash director Rick Famuyiwa has reportedly cast Kiersey Clemons in the role of Iris West in the film. Famuyiwa has previously worked with the actress on his film Dope and he clearly enjoyed that working experience.

The role of Iris West is currently being played on television by Candice Patton and was once held by Paula Marshall in the 1990 television movie The Flash, but this will be the first time the character has been featured in a film.

It’s not known if we may get a quick cameo by the actress in the Justice League film or if her first appearance will officially be in The Flash, but don’t be surprised if she does make an appearance in Justice League.

Clemons since the annoucement, has tweeted the following:
