Lewis Tan Met For a DC Role Including Nightwing

Lewis Tan known for roles Deadpool 2 and the Netflix’s series Iron Fist, recently met with Warner Bros. for a role in a DC Film, as he confirmed in an interview with The Hashtag Show, stating that he met with DC, that Nightwing director Chris Mckay was following him on Twitter and that Nightwing was mentioned during his talks with DC, when they spoke of him doing something for DC.

“I know Chris McKay wants a martial artist, right, so that’s out there,” Tan said. “He’s following me on Twitter, you know…there’s a lot of good juju vibes out there for that. Nothing that I can say that is confirmed. This is a project that he’s still developing and I sat down with DC, with some of the executives at DC, and they’re big fans, I’m a big fan, obviously. My father came to America, because of Batman (1989) and, you know, I definitely want to see that come full circle and give back. Im not trading in my Marvel roots, because they started me, but DC started my dad, so it would be nice to go over there and play around and find the right thing. So we’re looking for the right thing and there were a lot of different talks and Nightwing was one of those that were mentioned, so we’ll see.”

Tan then later went on to clarify on his official Twitter account that his interview with DC for a role wasn’t specifically for Nightwing.

Tan has shown his love for the role of Nightwing and the world that Batman inhabits since his father Philip Tan got his start working on Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman, as one of The Joker’s Goons, he’s also shown a few tweets hinting a role within a Batman film of sorts.

Here’s the original interview from The Hashtag Show that led many to think Nightwing was the only role he met with Warner Bros. on:

Eric Curto

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me
