Nathan Fillion Wants in on the DC Extended Universe

Nathan Fillion, who has voiced Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in many of the DC Animated Films and is many fans choice to play the character in live action has expressed his interest in playing quite a curious choice, Booster Gold at a recent at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago.

For those unaware Booster Gold is a hero from the future, who comes to the present to stand out, he has an attitude similar to Hal Jordan as in he is cocky and full of himself. He is also a member of the Legion of Superheroes, who have the ability to travel through time.

Booster Gold has appeared in live action during the 10th season of Smallville and while, the character was done fairly close to how he is in the comics, I personally felt actor Eric Martsolf just didn’t fill the role right or maybe he was just not given anything to work with as it was more of a Blue Beetle episode.

It was revealed that Legends of Tomorrow has no plans to bring Booster Gold onto the series as Warner Bros. has plans for the character, could these plans involve Nathan Fillion?

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me

    If only!

If Warner/DC has plans for Booster Gold then why not? They can do a lot worse. Seems a better fit than GL; even though he’s voiced him in the past. Hook him up before Marvel/Disney does.

I would gladly have him in the DCEU, but not as Booster Gold. A bit too old.

  • I wonder if this is in any way connected to the BG movie news we’ve been hearing as of late. This is too specific of a choice to just be random. Especially since he’s been voicing GL all these years.
