Petition Has Been Made to Stop Lucifer from Airing on FOX

FOX is no stranger to controversial television, they aired Married With Children and got so much hate from parent groups they had to either stop airing certain episodes or edit certain scenes during reruns, not to mention animated shows such as The Simpsons and Family Guy has had their share of controversy. Well it seems like Lucifer, a new TV Series that will air in 2016 and based on the popular Vertigo/DC comic book is also catching some heat.

One Million Moms created the petition stating their concern with particular issue with several elements from the show’s trailer and the depiction of “graphic acts of violence, a nightclub featuring scantily-clad women and a demon.”

“The series will focus on Lucifer portrayed as a good guy, ‘who is bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell.’He resigns his throne, abandons his kingdom and retires to Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals,” says One Million Moms. “At the same time, God’s emissary, the angel Amenadiel, has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.”

Personally I find groups like these hilarious, while I can understand their concern of what their children watch, they clearly have no idea the basis of what the show will be about or how to use the Parental Guidance feature on just about every TV or Streaming Device there is available.
