Pierce Brosnan, who many love from the 007 Franchise in which he played James Bond for three films (Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Die Another Day) spoke with Details about turning down the role of Batman when it was offered to him for the 1989 Tim Burton film.

DETAILS: And you turned down Batman.
Pierce Brosnan: It was the beginning of these huge movies, and I just thought, Batman? Batman held such an indelible place in my own childhood, but I said something flippant to Tim Burton like, “Any guy who wears his underpants outside his trousers cannot be taken seriously.” So, yeah.

While he was a great James Bond it certainly would have been a different film if we had Pierce Brosnan in the role.
