Scalped Pilot Ordered for WGN America

WGN America the Chicago Based Cable Network has officially ordered a pilot from the DC/Vertigo comic book series Scalped, which was created by Jason Aaron and R.M. Guera.

According to the report by TV Insider the Pilot will be scripted by Doug Jung, who will also serve as an Executive Producer alongside Geoff Johns.

WGN America has been in development for the series for the past two years, but if this news is true it will mark the fourth DC/Vertigo comic book series to be made into a television series alongside Lucifer on FOX,  iZombie on The CW and the short-lived but hugely loved Constantine on NBC.

The report also reported that the show will keep the look and feel of the comic by casting an all Native American cast, making it a uniquely diverse adaptation.
