SDCC: Grant Morrison To Multiversity and Beyond

DC’s resident architect of the arcane, Grant Morrison, spoke on a variety of topics (DC-related and otherwise) during a panel dedicated to him this past weekend.

During the panel, moderated by DC VP of Content Strategy John Cunningham, revealed his upcoming work, specifically regarding Multiversity. Entitled ‘Multiversity Too’, it will consist of a series of OGN’s based on various characters and worlds taken from the Multiversity Guidebook.

Morrison promises that the series of projects, the first of which spotlighting a Flash of unknown origin, will be released sometime in 2016.

Morrison also states that “Multiversity Too isn’t what you think it is. It’s not a follow-up,” he explained. “All these years since 1987 I’ve been trying to get the Multiverse back.” However, it wasn’t just a confined Multiverse. Morrison said he wanted to bring back the idea of an infinite Multiverse. This series of graphic novels plays in that infinity.

“If you imagine that Multiverse map is one bubble of 52 universes,” he said. “There are more bubbles of 50 or 100 universes.”

So what did you think of the original run of Multiversity? Are you excited for more? Sound off in the comments below.
