Suicide Squad Has An On-Set Life Coach

E!Online reports that according to Adam Beach, who is playing Slipknot in Suicide Squad,  that a life coach they have dubbed “The Therapist” has been on set to ensure the method actors go home as themselves and not as their villainous alter egos.

We reported before that Jared Leto apparently takes his role home with him, as he had sent some bizarre gifts to his co-stars before he started filming, which when you think about it that means 30 Seconds To Mars fans had The Joker singing to them, awesome.

This also makes me remember the rumor that Cara Delevingne was seeing a therapist to get better in tune with her character The Enchantress, while she debunked that rumor I’m wondering if the rumor is what made David Ayer request this life coach to be there. It’s also possible Adam Beach is pulling our chain, but here is what he had to say.

“David Ayer is about realism”

“So if your character is tormented, he wants you to torment yourself. He wants the real thing”

But he doesn’t want his stars, which include Jared Leto as The Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, to take their work home

“We kind of have like a therapist on board if you fall off the wagon and really are villainous,” Beach said. “There’s a friend of [Ayer’s] that’s very unique in making sure we have our ground.”
