After only a little over 2 weeks at the box office, Suicide Squad has already hit $509 million dollars in the Worldwide Box Office totals, with an expected $20 to $22 million for the third weekend to hold onto the #1 spot for the third weekend in a row.

According to ComingSoon.net, an interview done with the President of Worldwide Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures  Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, there is a lot more still to come as Germany, which has its premiere this weekend and Japan, whose premiere is September 10th,  have yet to have their premieres.

“It is incredibly rewarding to see audiences around the world coming out in such a big way for ‘Suicide Squad.’ We have several major markets yet to open, and expect to continue seeing strong returns at the box office for the weeks to come.”

Sue Kroll, President of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution also added in some excitement for the film’s success.

“We’re thrilled with the huge numbers on ‘Suicide Squad,’ and to be coming out of an already highly successful summer with such a big win for our slate. The film is in position for another terrific weekend as our overseas expansion continues.”
