We have reported earlier that Suicide Squad had made a huge splash at the box office for Thursday night, as it made $20.5 million dollars, which broke the Thursday night record for August and now another record has been broken for Friday.
Suicide Squad has taken in an estimated $62 million opening day, beating out the 2 year record held by Guardians of the Galaxy of $45 million dollars.
With Thursday and Friday’s numbers, the expected $140 million for opening weekend for the film is looking like a reality, which in hand will make it the biggest August opening and the third biggest opening so far for 2016 domestically.
