Supergirl Ratings on The CW Shows Promise for Season 2

Shares

Supergirl, which originally aired on CBS for the 2015-2016 season has recently started having the first season episodes air on The CW. The hope here is that those who didn’t watch the series when it originally aired on CBS, will watch it on The CW and be prepared when Season 2 when it premieres this Fall on October 10th.

The first two-week airings of the series for the Summer line up aren’t looking bad at all, especially against its competition. As seen the ratings for the first night is an adjustment due to a Chicago baseball game, so the numbers are more likely a bit less, but still more than 1 million.

The numbers for Monday, August 1st:

Time Show Adults 18-49 Rating/Share Viewers (millions)
8 p.m. The Bachelorette (ABC) (8-10 p.m.) – F 2.5/9 8.43
American Ninja Warrior (NBC) (8-10 p.m.) 1.6/6 5.76
Mom (CBS) – R 0.8/3 4.65
So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation (FOX) (8-10 p.m.) 0.7/3 2.67
Supergirl (The CW) – R 0.4/1 1.57

In the second week, on August 8th, many networks faced the stiff competition of the Summer Olympics and The CW was no exception. However it is still quite impressive for a rerun, it still managed to get close to 2 million viewers.
