Supergirl.tv claims that their sources are telling them that Production on Episode 2 of Supergirl has begun and included the actors who will be appearing in the episode:

- Mechad Brooks
- Laura Benanti
- Calista Flockhart
- Chyler Leigh
- David Harewood
- Helen Slater
- Dean Cain
- Jeremy Jordan
- Malina Weissman
We do see that it apparently is confirmed that Helen Slater (Supergirl in the 1984 film) and Dean Cain (Superman in the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman series) will return, which is great to know it wasn’t just a cameo.
The article is also saying that Glen Winter is returning to direct and Andrew Kreisberg will be writing alongside Ali Adler and Greg Berlanti, making him a bit more hands on than your typical Executive Producer.
