TVLine has reported a casting call have been sent out to fill in 3 Mystery roles for the new The CW spin-off series being developed.
“THE TRAVELER” Described as a “Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances.
“My Thoughts” Now judging from the description you can immediately assume t would be Booster Gold, the character is from the future and cocky in a way, but when the series was first announced they made it clear we would not see someone who has appeared in Live Action before and he was in Smallville. Still it could be a member of the Legion of Superheroes, someone who can eventually go back and create another CW series in the future, certainly opens it up a bit
“FEMALE WARRIOR” This twenty-something Latina is pretty but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior — so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others.
“My Thoughts” Judging from this & doing a bit of research this may be Bea De Costa, whose character has been mentioned on The Flash as someone who had died due to the Particle Accelerator. Her alter ego is Fire and has only been featured in Animation, so it does fit. It can also be Vixen, whose character is getting an Animated series (this is likely due to the cost of her powers vs TV Budget) and has been said will make live action appearances at some point.
“MYSTERY HERO”An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.
“My Thoughts” This sounds like obviously Static Shock, which is the most likely as Warner Bros. is developing a webseries on their Machima Youtube page, its possible that webseries will only be an “origin” run with this series continuing his adventures. There is also the possibility of Black Lightning, both of which have only had animated forms.
