Warner Bros. has confirmed to the Charlotte newspaper The Charlotte Observer, that the DC Universe live action series Swamp Thing, will be filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.
According to the spoke person for Warner Bros. Television, regarding the details for the series, including when filming will begin in Wilmington or when the series will premiere on DC Universe, the spoke person stated that information will be released later on.
The filming of Swamp Thing in Wilmington, is taken as welcomed news to a state as it’s seen most Hollywood productions have taken their business to other states like Georgia and Louisiana in recent years.
The Swamp Thing cast thus far includes Crystal Reed as Abby Arcane and Maria Sten as Liz Tremayne. There’s no official premiere date for the series, but it’s being eyed to be released sometime in 2019 on the DC Comics streaming network DC Universe.
