According exclusively to TV Line, Tawny Cypress (Heroes, House of Cards, Unforgettable) has been cast as the character of Miranda Crane, on the CBS hit television series Supergirl.
The character is a Senator peddling her anti-alien beliefs to garner votes, Crane then finds herself on the other side of the issue when her visit to National City is interrupted by an alien attack, forcing her to possibly accept help from Supergirl.
Miranda Crane is a completely new character for Supergirl, she’s not canon in the DC Comics Universe.
