The development for the Titans television series has been in the works for a couple of years since it was first announced it was heading to TNT before the network decided to pass on the series, leaving the new upcoming DC Streaming service to  announced that the series would be one of the exclusive shows on the service come 2018.

Actress Teagan Croft is the first to be announced to have been cast on the series as Rachel Roth/Raven, the daughter of Demon known as Trigon.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Croft’s Raven, described as the daughter of a demon, is a powerful empath who must keep her emotions in check or risk unleashing her demonic side.

Knowing that Croft is 13-years old, it does give us a better idea on how young the characters will be on the series. The series is titled Titans but will still feature Teen Titans. For those unaware the Titans are older versions of the original Teen Titans with their leader being Dick Grayson/Nightwing. The current Teen Titans, which Raven is a part of is lead by Damian Wayne/Robin.

Written by Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery), DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Johns (The Flash, Arrow) and Berlanti (Arrow, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl), Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.

Raven was created by Marv Wolfman (Writer) and George Perez (Artist) in DC Comics Presents #26 (October 1980)

Raven is famously voiced by Tara Strong in Teen Titans and Teen Titans GO!, as well as Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo and several video games
