Teresa Palmer, who was cast as Talia Al Ghul in the canceled George Miller film Justice League: Mortal has spoken about her wish to give the DC Universe another try with Ben Affleck’s upcoming Batman film.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Teresa Palmer spoke about what she felt when Marion Cotillard played the role in The Dark Knight Rises.

“I was going to be her. I think Marion Cotillard played, I don’t know how to pronounce her last name by the way, um she played Talia Al Ghul in one of the Batman’s, I remember thinking, okay well, obviously she’s going to play Talia Al Ghul, but if there’s ever an opportunity I would absolutely love it. Put it out there. Can you put it out there for me?”

She then discusses her wish to return to the DC Universe

“Can you make it a thing? I’m doing it.”

The Wrap has said that an insider claims Ra’s Al Ghul and Talia Al Ghul are not planned to show up in the DC Extended Universe at this time, due to their inclusion in the Christopher Nolan Trilogy, so her chances are of returning to the same role is slim.

There are plenty of female characters in the DC Universe for her to play, especially outside of the Batman world. She was in the recent James Wan Produced horror film Lights Out, so she can potentially play a role in the Aquaman film.
