Variety writer Justin Kroll has gone to twitter to talk about what he is hearing on the solo Batman front. Kroll points out that director Matt Reeves is working to finish War For the Planet of the Apes until at least the end of June. This means that any casting news or Pre-Production work won’t be happening until at least July, as Reeves won’t be meeting with anyone until after he completes his Apes film.
As always this is not confirmed, but Kroll has never been wrong on his scoops and more likely in the realm of fact.
Hearing Matt Reeves contracted to work on APES till at least end of June, so production on BATMAN likely not starting till 2018

Also means any casting rumors you hear are likely BS seeing that he wouldn't have time to meet with any talent till at least July
