The Flash Movie Director Has Possibly Been Found in Seth Grahame-Smith

Shares

Seth Grahame-Smith author of the book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is in negotiations with Warner Bros to helm The Flash film that will star Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speedster and if the deal goes through will mark the directorial debut for the author.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news earlier today that The Flash Writers, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who were thought to be also directing the film had decided to pass as they had other projects they had committed too, but they would still be involved in the writing aspect.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me

What do you think of this? I’m really not that fond of it, for a first time director as well.

  • Red Queen

I honestly don’t know what to think. It’s a weird choice, for sure. For now, I’ll remain neutral. Let’s see how this goes.

Need give chance this is guy)
Lego Batman Movie I hope this is great animation film 😀

      • Red Queen

Oh, I’ll give him a chance, for sure. I just don’t know how I feel about it.

  • Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was one of my favorite books from 5 years ago. That said, a first time director for The Flash is an odd choice.

This guy hasn’t directed anything yet? Come on, Flash needs a real visionary. I’m not saying this guy isn’t, but how would anybody know? I mean, based on his resume (and the Miller-Lord contributions) it seems they’re trying to keep this light-hearted, which is great, but I don’t want another Daredevil situation where they hire an enthusiastic amateur and end up with a completely incompetent movie. I have at least a little faith that the studio and producers wouldn’t allow anything that dreadful to be made (hiring top-notch stunt/fight choreographers, action directors, special effects houses, etc.) but that didn’t help Fantastic Four, did it? Marvel scored with the Russo Brothers, but that doesn’t mean lightning will strike twice, here. (See what I did there, with the lightning and the Flash and the striking and… never mind).
