According to Deadline, with not much surprised to many of us, Matt Reeves’s The Batman starring Robert Pattinson as the title character, has been pushed back by Warner Bros. from its June 25th, 2021 next Summer release date to now a Fall October 1st, 2021 release date, a date made famous by The Joker.
As we previously reported, The Batman production stopped in London due to the Worldwide Coronavirus pandemic, now it’s clear that production won’t go back in enough time to make the June 25th for next year a reality. As confirmed by Reeves himself the movie has only shot about a quarter of the movie so far and they still have three quarters to go for it to wrap.
The other DC movie to be pushed back was David F. Sandberg’s Shazam! 2, went from a Spring April 1st 2022 release date to a Fall November 4th, 2022 release date. If things don’t get better with the pandemic, we can only assume more movies dates will be moved around.
