The Trench Will Likely Release Before Aquaman 2

Aquaman producer Peter Safran, who’s also working on the spin-off The Trench with Aquaman director James Wan, recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter regarding some details of the movie.

In the interview Safan goes on to say that he suspects that The Trench will be likely to release before the Aquaman sequel that’s set to release on December 16th, 2022.

Safan also goes on to confirm that as early as the concept art days of the trench scene in Aquaman, that Wan and himself loved the idea of a trench movie being made and the audience positive reaction to the trench creatures swimming after Arthur and Mera scene, they knew a movie based on the trench needed to be made.

A release date for The Trench has yet to be announced by Warner Bros. , but Safan does say that Wan and himself don’t want to rush the movie, as they want to do it right, not fast.
