Jeff Bewkes who’s the CEO and Chairman of Warner Bros., spoke recently at Tuesday’s UBS Global Media and Communications Conference about the recent disappointment in 2015’s year of box office receipts, he also talked about the upcoming 2016 slate, which includes Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, and his hopes that this will be the start of a turn around.
“Next year we’re going to be shifting more to the very numerous number of big franchise film releases.”
He did mention also how Wonder Woman and her solo film will give the Female Audience someone to look up too:
“We think this could bring an under-represented female audience to this genre that frankly has not been served well in the past and that could be exciting,”
Wonder Woman is currently shooting in London, for a 2017 release.
