Tom Hardy who played Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and was recently confirmed to be involved with the Vertigo adaptation of 100 Bullets recently spoke with MTV News while promoting his new film “Legend” about whether or not he’d want to return to the DC World and reprise his role as Bane.
At first he asked whether Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller was directing Man of Steel 2 and when he was told it was still a rumor, he said of course he’d like to return and then gave an example of what he would do to Batman and Superman.
It’s unlikely that Bane will appear in this universe or at least by Tom Hardy, but there is nothing keeping Tom Hardy from joining the DC Extended Universe as another character.

Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten.
