According to Variety, Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman are producing an adaptation of Traci Thirteen for The CW titled Project 13, through their production company Brownstone Productions, with Daegan Fryklind as a writer and executive producer.

Traci Thirteen has ties to the lore of DC Comics appearing in both Superman and Supergirl comics and is now in a relationship with Natasha Irons, niece of John Henry Irons / Steel. She is also a member of the Teen Titans.

DESCRIPTION:

Titled “Project 13,” the one-hour drama would center on Traci, a twenty-something forensic scientist and believer in the paranormal who discovers her own hidden extra-sensory abilities when she joins her estranged, skeptic father to investigate mysterious cases of the paranormal and unexplained phenomena.

This is the second comic book series that won’t include Greg Berlanti at the helm, with iZombie being the other show.

Traci Thirteen first appeared in Superman #189 in 2003 and created by Joe Kelly (writer) and Dwayne Turner (Artist) and been portrayed on Teen Titans: Judas Contract and is appearing on Young Justice: Outsiders as 13.

No word on when the series could begin filming and when they are looking to air it. The CW recently began work on a Riverdale spin-off with Sabrina and Dynasty premiered this season, so it be interesting to see if this is a mid-season series like iZombie or maybe a Summer series as The CW did express interest in bringing shows on during the Summer.
