Justin Kroll of Variety, confirmed on his official Twitter account that Warner Bros. originally wanted Emma Stone (Easy A, The Help, La La Land) as the supervillain Cheetah in the sequel to Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman, that’s set to start production this Summer.
This confirmation comes after it was announced that actress Kristen Wigg was in talks for the role. Kroll goes on to say that Stone ended up passing, which then led to director Patty Jenkins to then personally pick Kristen Wigg as her choice for the role.
Since I’ve spent the last hour yelling at people let me give some updates on this recent breaks. Studio originally went out to Emma Stone on this but after she passed Jenkins personally picked Wiig as her choice for Cheetah
