Watchmen Co-Creator Dave Gibbons Speaks On the DC Extended Universe

Shares

Dave Gibbons, known for his work on co-creating the graphic novel Watchmen with Alan Moore, recently spoke at the MCM Comic Con on his opinions on Zack Snyder as a filmmaker, how Snyder has built the DC Extended Universe and what he would have liked to do differently as he has written World’s Finest, which showed Batman and Superman come to blows.

Gibbons also spoke on  the twist that occurred in the final pages of DC Universe Rebirth #1.

Spoilers Ahead!!

Dave Gibbons comments do raise an eyebrow as he has been quite involved in just about everything that has occurred with Watchmen, from the Zack Snyder film, Before Watchmen to the upcoming HBO series. Seeing as he still works with DC, even contributing to a variant cover for The Dark Knight III: The Master Race, it makes you wonder how tight-lipped this revelation must have been at DC Comics.

DC Universe Rebirth #1 has proved very successful and with the first printing being nearly gone, DC Comics will be releasing a 2nd printing with a $5.99 price tag, so get the first printing of $2.99 while you can.
