Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen, based on the DC graphic novel from Alan Moorehas, has been officially ordered to series at HBO.
The pilot was directed by Nicole Kassell, who’s also an executive producer with Stephen Williams, who will also be directing later episodes for the series. Joseph Iberti and Tom Spezialy are also on-board as executive producers, with White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros. Television as the production companies for the television series.
The official description reads as followed:
“Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.”
The cast for the show are as follow: Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon.
