Wonder Woman officially ends its worldwide box office run with $819 million, with its domestic gross ending at $411 million, making it the number one comic book origin film at the domestic box office, beating out Sam Raimi’s Spider-man, which held the spot for many years with $403 million.
Wonder Woman also sits at the number five-spot for comic book adaptation at the domestic box office, the only adaptation that isn’t a sequel to a previous film.
As of today September 19th, Wonder Woman is available to buy on Blu-ray/DVD and the sequel for the film has been officially announced with director Patty Jenkins back to helm it, with the to be release date of December 13th, 2019.
