TV Line is reporting that Alexander Siddig has been cast as Ra’s Al Ghul on Gotham.
According to producers he will be the one in charge of The Court of Owls, whose plan has been to bring Gotham to its former glory and work from the shadows. His episode will air sometime after the season resumes on April 24th, 2017.
Siddig is best known for his role on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, along with Game of Thrones.
This will be the third live action version of Ra’s Al Ghul since 2005, with Liam Neeson (Nolan Batman films) & Matt Nable (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) being the first two. Not to mention the countless animated versions, with David Warner being the most recognizable from Batman: The Animated Series. On Arrow, John Barrowman’s Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer also served as Ra’s Al Ghul for a short while.
