iZombie alumni Rahul Kohli has been cast as Jack Spheer on Supergirl, who becomes Biomax in the season 2 episode “Ace Reporter”.
Razul Kohli gave his thoughts on the news
“I’m so excited to be working on Supergirl starring as Jack Spheer,” Kohli says. “It’s given me the chance to continue my relationship with The CW as well as fulfill my goal of meeting a Kryptonian.”
Jack comes to National City to demonstrate his technology to members of the press, including Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Snapper Carr (Ian Gomez). His arrival stirs up front page news as well as feelings in his old flame Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath).
Andrew Kreisberg spoke on the casting.
Kohli will appear in episode 18, titled “Ace Reporter,” which executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently revealed will heavily feature Kara’s journalism side. “That’s actually been very important to us, especially in the times we now find ourselves living in; we’re one of the few shows on television that actually has a journalist as a lead character,” he says. “We really get a chance to talk about the importance of journalism, and the importance of journalism ethics, and how important [it is to have] the objective truth be out there now.”
Rahul Kohli, best known for his role as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti has shown to be a huge DC Comics fan through his social media.
