As we reported, Batman: The Killing Joke had a very successful night in its Mondaybox office total, managing to come in third place. According to Box Office Mojo, Batman: The Killing Joke made an additional $600,000 with an estimated total of $453 out of 1,325 theaters, allowing for the films official box office total adding up to $3,775,000 on a $3,500,000 budget. This makes it successful as no advertisements were spent to promote the theatrical release.
The film did drop down in the box office spot, but it still managed to stay in the Top 10, all in all the film has proven successful with a wide enough audience. Keep in mind that the additional night was almost a last-minute addition, so not everyone might have known about it. Also these numbers don’t include the Digital Sales or the Home Video sales.
