According to Variety, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice saw 70% sales boost within the first week on home video, making it one of the highest first week Blu-ray percentages ever for a major theatrical release new to disc with Star Wars: The Force Awakens holding the record at 83%.
Most of the sale is on the Blu-Ray edition, since that is the only way to get the extended R-Rated cut of the film.
Since the film’s Blu-Ray released, many of those who didn’t care for the theatrical release, have come around to express their love for the extended version.
My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me
