First Look at Superman in Supergirl

The CW has released an official look at Tyler Hoechlin as the Man of Steel for the second season of  Supergirl, which will be airing its new season on the  network.

As you can see it’s a pretty close design to Melissa Benoist Supergirl costume. The Supergirl costume as fans may know was designed by Colleen Atwood, the costume designer for the abandoned Superman Lives film as well as the rest of the Berlanti-Verse of DC Shows.

However, according to Entertainment Weekly, the Superman costume was designed by Kiersten Ronning, who was one of those involved with the costumes for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The look is also very reminiscent of the New 52 redesign from the comics, with minor tweaks to differentiate it from Henry Cavill’s costumes from Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
