Playing the role of Batman is a bit difficult when you think about the outfit the actor must wear usually weighs a lot, so you would think that directing the film that you are playing Batman in must be even more difficult.
Well Ben Affleck spoke with USA Today about that exact issue while he was promoting Live By Night and the fact he may have to adjust the costume a bit to make it easier to put on, take off and stay focus on directing the film as well as playing the role.
“I’ve played the part, so I know what’s it’s like to be in the suit,” Affleck said. “I think I’d have to modify the suit to make it a little bit easier to put on and take off if I was really going to be directing the movie as well. When you are just in it, you can be sweating, crazy and exhausted, just do your part and walk away. But when you’re a director, you can’t walk away. You have to answer all the questions and be there for everybody.
“Chief among the challenges of doing Batman, will be finding a suit that’s more comfortable”
