It was announced recently that FOX had passed on Black Lightning series, in which The CW decided to pick up and give it a pilot order. Now the official synopsis, character description, filming date and location have been released for the televison series.
“Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce. He made his choice: He hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.”
The video below says the series pilot will begin filming sometime in March and will not be filmed in Vancouver where majority of The CW television series film, making crossovers a bit harder to carry out. Though The Flash still landed on Supergirl when it was still being filmed in Los Angeles. The series pilot will be filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
The character descriptions that you can see in the video show that the full cast will be African America, making it the first CW series with both a lead African American character and a full cast as The CW shows have been prominently White.
