Brit Morgan Cast as Livewire on Supergirl

Variety is reporting that actress Brit Morgan (True Blood) has been cast as Leslie Wills/Livewire for the upcoming CBS series Supergirl.

The character description is as followed:

Morgan’s Leslie is a confident, abrasive and funny shock-jock who works for CatCo Media, the conglomerate owned by Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart). When an accident makes her as dangerous and shocking as her words, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must stop her.

The character originally created by Bruce Timm for Superman: The Animated Series voiced by Tank Girl’s Lori Petty, before appearing on the Animated Series she appeared in the comic book tie in Superman Adventures #5 in March of 1997, she than had her first live action appearance in the Smallville episode “Injustice” played by Anne Mae Routledge.
